I've stayed at this hotel since it opened about 5 years ago. On my most recent stay, I realized that it's overdue for an update. Room furnishings, fixtures and décor is heavily used. Hallways, wall covering, carpet all show age. Small updates have been made in common areas, but the rooms should probably come next. :#
I still recommend this hotel because of its proximity to O'Hare #only 1 mile#, but if you're looking to spend a few days hanging out and using the hotel's amenities #pool, bar, lounge, etc.), then you may want consider whether this is the right hotel for that at this time.

My colleague and I stayed here for 4 nights on a business trip. Loved it. I was a initially a little uncertain about being so close to the freeway, but the hotel is well built and the noise was not bad. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and the location is fantastic with several restaurants and bars located in the district - very easy to walk to. To my delight there are outlet shops across the street. Really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Overall I enjoyed the room/stay. Check in wasn't perfect because my keyless was not working. Stuff helped me get the normal key quickly so I had no issue afterwards. However the lady who helped me check out really needs to improve her attitude.
I had shuttle scheduled at 4:30. I agree that I was less than 3 mins late. But she could have called me to let me know so I can call taxi ahead. I was only 3 mins late so she could have asked the shuttle driver to wait on me a bit. She said she didn't know I was coming down so why she didn't call to make sure? I wouldn't want to miss my flight? Again I should have come done a bit earlier. but it's 4:30am and I think 3 mins can be tolerate at this time. it's not I was 5+ mins late and the other customer have to be there 3 mins earlier. After I confronted with her, she didn't try to be understanding. Instead, she blamed me for being late and said its not her fault. She didn't have to be so rude and telling me I made a mistake. Her attitude made it hard to ever want to come back to stay.

Rooms need to deep cleaned. Nasty stains all over carpet. The air-conditioning would go on and off every half hour, it was so loud that it would wake my husband and myself up.

I stayed on 6th floor in 618..right next to the elevator. No issues with that. The room smelled like a sewer and would not go away. The window shade broke the first night (stayed 2 nights)..lights above bed were burned out...Obviously maintenance does not get done here. I drove past 5 days later and the window shade was STILL BROKE...The front desk clerk did comp a night due to the horrendous sewer smell which was the right thing to do however, I would have a very hard time recommending this hotel to anyone.

Very nice and clean hotel, easy to get to, parking was in a garage which wasn't spectacular but was easy to get to from the hotel.
